President & CEO

Darcy founded Momentum Drilling Fluids in September 2012 after identifying a need for a client-centered drilling fluids company committed to strong service values and continual improvement for O&G operators. Today, he continues to drive that mission forward, evolving what service means and raising the bar for technical detail across every program Momentum touches.

Darcy’s career in oil and gas spans over 30 years, beginning in 1994 at Reef Mud in Canada, where he worked his way up from warehouse hand to managing satellite operations. In 2000, he joined Baroid/Halliburton, building technical expertise as a bulk system specialist and drilling fluids engineer before moving into a technical sales role in Calgary in 2002, and relocating to Denver as a product line champion and lead sales role in 2005. In 2006, he founded Alltera Drilling Fluids in the U.S. Rocky Mountain region, growing it through multiple mergers and acquisitions (becoming Marquis Alliance and later Secure Energy Services in 2011) before launching Momentum the following year.
